BRIDGESTONE BATTLAX BT46 SPORT/TOURING (BIAS)
The Bridgestone Battlax BT46 is a bias-ply sport touring motorcycle tyre made for vintage sport and touring bikes. It is Bridgestone's top bias-ply tyre for this type of motorcycle and replaces the BT45. It suits Australian riders who want a tyre for everyday riding, touring and winding roads.
Better Wet Grip Than the BT45
Bridgestone has upgraded the BT45 design with modern technology. The BT46 gives better wet grip than the BT45, with the aim of more stable riding on wet roads. Bridgestone says this comes without giving up the wear life or the well-known dry handling of the BT45. The comparison is based on Bridgestone's internal testing, and results may vary.
Made for Town, Touring and Winding Roads
Bridgestone recommends the BT46 for riders who want to enjoy all-round riding. That covers everything from town use to long touring trips and winding roads. It is a good fit if you ride a vintage sport or touring motorcycle and want one tyre for commuting, weekend rides and longer journeys.
Bias-Ply Construction
The BT46 is a bias-ply tyre, and the listed sizes are tubeless (TL). The 110/90-16 front is the exception to note. It is stamped to say a tube must be used when it is fitted to a tube-type rim.
Battlax Technology
Bridgestone lists a number of technologies for the BT46, including Silica Rich Ex, RC Polymer, Nanopro-Tech, Pulse Groove, MS-Belt, Ultimateye, HTSPC and an outside bead filler. Silica Rich, RC Polymer and Nanopro-Tech are used on the rear tyre only.
Always confirm the correct tyre size and fitment for your motorcycle before ordering.
